Learn how the City of Fresno (California) Water Division utilized an extensive SCADA system to not only operate the many wells located throughout the city, but to also optimize that system to provide the most water for the least amount of energy.

This half-hour brown bag webinar will provide an overview of the city’s water system and the controls and strategies that were put in place to operate this large, complicated, and ever-changing system.

Ken Heard is the chief of Water Operations for Water Production, City of Fresno (California) Water Division. Having begun in the utilities field 20 years ago as a water and wastewater treatment operator, he currently oversees the operations of the city’s 260-plus groundwater wells, two surface water treatment facilities, the water quality section, electricians, telemetry technicians, and distributed control specialists.
