What's New In Renewable Energy Pumping

There are many renewable energy products on the market today. Without a proper understanding of the technology underlying these products, it can be confusing to wade through all the claims. In this session, you will learn about the current technology of renewable energy pumping systems, including a technical review of how solar panels work and how to size and configure them properly, wind turbines, and battery backup systems. You will also learn about some of the various types of solar pumps and their capabilities.

Alan Bixler
Grundfos Pumps Corporation, Olathe, KS
Alan Bixler is Product Specialist for Submersible Water Pump Systems for Grundfos Pumps North American Region. Bixler started with Grundfos in 2007 as a Senior Applications Engineer. During this time Bixler worked with customers across the broad range of Grundfos pumps and systems gaining knowledge and experience in the industry. Bixler accepted the Product Specialist position in August 2011. Prior to joining Grundfos Bixler worked as a Product Manager for GE Energy (BHA Group) with responsibilities in air pollution control and power generation technology. Bixler has a BS degree from the Agricultural Engineering department at the University of Missouri.

Eric Schriefer
Grundfos Pumps Corporation, Olathe, KS
Eric Schriefer joined Grundfos Pumps in Kansas after 28 years of experience in the Water Well and Wastewater industries, products and customers. During this time, Schriefer worked with customers, projects, new product development and product improvements which developed broad range of knowledge, skills and experience in many aspects. In June of this year, approaching 3 years as Product Manager with Grundfos Pumps, responsible for Water Well and Wastewater products, Schriefer accepted the Program Manager position responsible for the Water Well and Wastewater products for the North American Region. Schriefer earned a BS Degree in Business Management at Concordia University.
