Legislation and Regulations from Around the Country

This workshop will explore legislation and regulations at the federal and state level that affects groundwater and groundwater professionals. Come learn what is happening in other areas and share what is taking place in your area. Potential topics include: exempt wells, ground source and groundwater heat pumps, groundwater remediation, and water well regulations.

Christine Reimer is Director of NGWA’s Government Affairs Program. In that role, she directs the Association’s Washington representatives at Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz. She also serves as liaison to the membership and the Government Affairs Committee. Under the oversight and review of the NGWA Board of Directors, the Government Affairs Committee, through its many subcommittees and task forces, establishes the Association’s federal legislative and regulatory agenda and develops the Association’s official policy on issues. Reimer is a certified paralegal.
