How to Read a Profit and Loss Statement

Do financial statements make you queasy, especially if business hasn’t been that good or you know your receivables are really lagging? This workshop will be an express introduction to what information you should look for when reviewing a profit and loss statement and how you can use it to better manage your business operations.

Paul Humes is the Vice President of Operations and Chief Financial Officer for the National Ground Water Association. He joined NGWA in 1995. Paul is a graduate of the Ohio State University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He has thirty years experience in the accounting profession. He has worked in public accounting for a Big Four accounting firm; taught college level accounting; served in a variety of management and corporate accounting positions in manufacturing firms, product distribution companies and, during the last seventeen years, non-profit organizations.
