Volunteering in Developing Nations

Healing Hands International, and Water For Life International will address what individuals should know before they volunteer for their respective
organizations. Presenters will also provide an overview of their organizations’ intended clients and international scope of focus.

The past thirteen years serving with Living Water International, presently serving as Senior Director Special Projects.
Years past was professional driller for mineral exploration and geo-loops.
Married with four children, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Joseph Smith
Healing Hands International, Nashville, TN
Joseph Smith is the Director of Operations for Healing Hands International. He coordinates the shipment of 30+ intermodal containers of relief yearly and is responsible for HHI’s Clean Water Programs. Mr. Smith started working for Healing Hands International in 1999 as the Assistant Director of Operations and has now been the Director of Operations for 10 years. He designed and implemented a fund raising program called “Walk 4 Water” that is now held annually in a dozen cities across the United States.
