Thomas Maddock III is Professor and former Head of the Department of Hydrology and Water Resources at the University of Arizona. He is also the Co-director of the University of Arizona Research Laboratory for Riparian Studies (ARLRS) and a former Deputy Director of National Science Foundation’s Science and Technology Center for Sustainability of Semi-Arid Hydrology and Riparian Areas (SAHRA). Maddock received his B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Houston, and his M.S. in Applied Mathematics and his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Harvard University.
