Effective Customer Contracts

A good contract serves to ensure that a service provider is paid for work performed and that the consumer receives the service agreed upon. A satisfied and paying customer is a valuable asset to any business from both a financial and public relations standpoint. This session will address the stipulations a contractual agreement should contain and how best to explain the agreement to the customer.

Michael Kimmel, a shareholder in the firm of Hoy Chrissinger Kimmel Vallas, P.C., represents a variety of local and international developers, contractors, subcontractors and design professionals. He has litigated a variety of construction cases in Nevada and California state courts, also represents clients before municipal governments and state regulatory agencies, and assists BANN in the drafting of new legislation. Michael is Martindale "AV" rated, and he received the Lorman Distinguished Faculty Award. He has served on the Board of the Nevada State Bar's Construction Law Section since 2011, acting as its President in both 2014 and 2015.
