Safe Practice in the Groundwater Industry: Slips, Trips, and Falls
N115/N116 (Las Vegas Convention Center)
One of the major loss areas for our industry is slips, trips, and falls. Foreign objects on walking surfaces, hazardous weather conditions, and working at heights present daily and unique challenges to those who work in our industry since they encompass both indoor and outdoor work environments. You will learn how to recognize these hazards, as well as best practice to mitigate them. While solutions in many cases involve a worker’s undivided attention, some regulatory requirements may govern the proper precautions. Attendance at this and the “Materials Handling: Safe Practice in the Groundwater Industry” and the “Avoiding Electrical Hazards and Electrocution: Safe Practice in the Groundwater Industry” workshops are required prior to sitting for the exam to earn the certificate. Information on the exam will be provided at the conclusion of the “Avoiding Electrical Hazards and Electrocution: Safe Practice in the Groundwater Industry” workshop.
Those individuals who wish to earn the Safe Practice in the Groundwater Industry Certificate must sign in and sign out for this workshop. Validation of attendance at all three workshops is necessary to sit for the required fee-based exam.
