The contamination of groundwater supplies is a growing concern. New analytical techniques, increased regulation activity and the recognition of the PPCP (pharmaceutical and personal care) issue have resulted in the need to investigate groundwater treatment options.

This lecture will detail the chemistry of these contaminants, contamination mechanisms, mitigation technologies and strategies.
