Dr. Quinn was a scientist/senior research scientist at KISR from March 1978 to November 2015. Some important projects implemented during this period concerned (1) development of computerized algorithms for environmental monitoring, protection and management (2) the application of laser Induced Fluorescence (LIF) and spectrofluorometric sensor systems to screen and quantify petroleum related contamination in water (groundwater and sea water), soil and sediments and (3) development of sensor systems based on LIF and cone penetrometer technology (CPT) and their application to the screening and quantification of petroleum related contamination in soils.
