The Essentials for Contractors Working at Surface Mines
N205-208 (Las Vegas Convention Center)
Working at a mine site can be intimidating, but a contractor that understands the requirements is well positioned. There are some mines which bring in drilling and/or pump service contractors through the "back door" and this can put those contractors in a position of potentially receiving citations.
This workshop will address the requirements for working in mining operations requiring either Part 46 training (sand and gravel) or those requiring Part 48 training (metal/non-metal and surface of underground mines) and is geared toward any drilling or pump service contractor who needs to understand the basic requirements of working in a surface mine.
