2007 Ground Water Summit

Monday, April 30, 2007: 9:30 a.m.-3:15 p.m.
La Cienega (Albuquerque Convention Center)
Science and Ground Water Policy
A wide range of ground water scientists and policy analysts are beginning to seek to understand past policy decisions and scientific tools in order to plan for the future of ground water resources. This session will combine the approaches of science and policy to ground water management in order to see how each affects and changes the other. Presentations include case studies analyzing the changes in aquifer-based, state, federal, or international ground water policies and practices and the evolution of the relevant scientific tools used to make these changes.
