Polycrystalline Diamond Compact Bits: A Closer Look

Geothermal drillers may choose from a variety of polycrystalline diamond compact bits for their operations, each with different characteristics. In this workshop, you will learn the advantages and disadvantages of steel body and matrix body bits with respect to quality, performance, and durability.

I started my career in the bit business in 1977 as an employee of Palmer Bit Company, and in 2005 I became co-owner of the company. Having over 34 years of experience, I have been involved in every aspect of the bit business, from drag bits designed for sands and clays, to designing the new concept in PDC bits by designing the patent pending Diamond Devil PDC, which is used for shale,sandstones and limestone.
