How to Be a Better Citizen Lobbyist

Presented on Thursday, December 17, 2015

Too often, as citizens and professionals within an industry, we fail to maintain active and open lines of communication with those individuals who have been elected to represent us at the local level. These individuals whom we have elected vote on topics that may decide the price we pay for something, the increase or decrease of regulations, or other changes to our standards of living. It is imperative that in a democracy, citizens keep their elected officials informed.
As a Citizen Lobbyist, you have the ability to help facilitate good legislation by keeping these lines of communication open. The question is, “How do I participate as a Citizen Lobbyist?” This presentation will help provide you with the necessary tools to begin your journey on becoming a Citizen Lobbyist and help you not only to maintain proper communication with elected officials, but also how to effect the necessary legislative change you may be hoping for.
