Obtain the skills you need in this interactive workshop to identify key areas to determine if you should bid on a project, sharpen your estimating abilities, interpret bid specifications, maintain accurate productivity and cost data, and be aware of the ethics involved. (This program was originally designed as a segment with the NGWA/Clemson University Construction Management Academy.) These specific topics will be addressed during the workshop to help you develop and refine your skills: general and construction estimating; quantity take-off; analyzing subcontractor bids, and vendor quotes; and estimating software.

Gregg Corley has over 25 years experience in both the construction industry and construction education, specializing in information technology applications used for construction estimating, scheduling, and project management operations. His industry experience includes serving as an estimator/project manager for commercial, institutional, municipal, and military projects throughout the southeast. He has taught in construction programs at Auburn University, Southern Polytechnic State University, and currently is a tenured, Associate Professor in the Department of Construction Science and Management at Clemson University. Since 1989, Gregg has also worked as a consultant to construction companies seeking to improve company operations.
